Vaughan Joins Radcliffe On Loan

14 December 2022

Midfielder Harry Vaughan has joined Radcliffe on a one-month youth loan.

The 18-year-old joins the Northern Premier League side until 13 January in order to gain regular football after showcasing his potential in previous seasons.

Manager David Unsworth sees the loan as a benefitial move for the youngster's continued development: "Harry is currently on the periphery but he's a young lad and young players need to go out and play games, I'm big on that.

"He's still going to train with us every day but he's going to get some games with their first team which is vital.

"You can't replicate a competitive match, that's why it's good for young players to go out on loan. The B team games are great but they're not every week."

Over the past two seasons, the exciting playmaker has made 32 appearances, scoring 1 goal after becoming another successful youth team graduate.

The teenager signed a two-year deal with the option of a third in June 2021, after he showcased his technical ability towards the back end of the 2020/21 Sky Bet League Two campaign.

He joins former Latics players Bobby Grant and Nicky Adams at Stainton Park as he looks to help fire the club into the play-off places.

The loan move presents the next stage in Harry’s development as he looks to make an impact over the course of the next month, with regular game time in adult football.

Best of luck, Harry!
