Oldham Athletic are seeking to employ a new full-time First Team Head Physiotherapist until the end of the season initially.
Job Title: Head Physiotherapist (Fixed-term contract until 31 May 2022).
Location: Boundary Park, Oldham & Chapel Road Training Ground, Oldham.
Reports to: Head Coach
Internal Liaison: Coaching staff, Club Secretary, Playing Staff, General Manager, Academy Staff.
External Liaison: EFL, FA, Clinicians, Health Partners.
Working Hours: First-team schedule as well as separate treatments. Flexibility is essential.
Annual Leave: 20 days.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead the Medical Department of Oldham Athletic AFC.

Provide medical care for all Oldham Athletic AFC first-team players.

Maintain an accurate and comprehensive database of treatment and work with all Oldham Athletic AFC first-team players, including current medical status, medical notes, and recordings of rehabilitation or gym sessions.

To provide the appropriate examination, assessment, and treatment of first-team players when required, including the referral to internal and external medical professionals.

Where appropriate, assist and advise the club's strength and conditioning coach.

Developing and overseeing the development and implementation of prehab and rehab programmes for all Oldham Athletic AFC first-team players.

Together with the Club Doctor, take responsibility for and update the clubs Emergency Action Plan.

Work and communicate with the clubs, other support staff, including doctors/sports scientists and interns to provide an integrated approach to injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement.

Be responsible for developing and organising medical staff CPD opportunities.
Education/Qualifications/Training:

Bsc (Hons) Physiotherapy.

HCPC Registered.
-
FA Level 5 Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF) – Formerly Advanced Resuscitation and Emergency Aid (AREA).

A valid full UK Drivers License.
Specific Experience & Person Specification:

At least two years of previous experience working in the medical department of a professional football club. (Desirable)

Experience working pitchside/on a matchday at a professional football club. (Desirable)

The ability to work effectively and safely, whilst working both independently and as part of a team.

Experience in pitchside management of injuries.

To be discreet and trustworthy, able to always adhere to confidentiality and data protection procedures.

Hardworking and enthusiastic with a passion for football.
