Manager John Sheridan and the Latics players began their pre-season training schedule at Chapel Road today (Thursday).
The squad were put through their paces in the warm weather, with the focus on fitness, as well as some light ball work.
Sheridan’s team will continue training over the next week, in preparation for the opening pre-season fixture at Bamber Bridge on Saturday 9 July.
In total, the squad will face six warm-up fixtures ahead of the National League season, which begins on Saturday 6 August. The fixtures for the new campaign will be released at 9am on Wednesday 6 July.
