John Sheridan and Davis Keillor-Dunn have both been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Manager and Player of the Month Award during February.
One of four nominees in each category, they have been recognised after an upturn in fortunes during last month with the reasoning on their individual recognition below.
John Sheridan
They say never go back, but the magical connection between Sheridan and Oldham just works. The Latics were seven points adrift of safety entering February but 11 points from five unbeaten games has restored hope at Boundary Park.
Davis Keillor-Dunn
Pivotal to Oldham’s recent revival, the 24-year-old was moved forward from midfield and responded by scoring five goals in as many games. He added close-range poacher’s instincts to his innate ability to time his runs into the box.
'Shez' is up against Gary Bowyer (Salford City), Graeme Lee (Hartlepool United) and Matt Taylor (Exeter City), with Davis' competition for the award being Jevani Brown (Exeter City), Fraser Horsfall (Northampton Town) and Kane Wilson (Forest Green Rovers).
The judging panel for the Sky Bet Manager and Player of the Month awards comprises of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; EFL Communications Director Mark Rowan and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies, as well as former Barnsley gaffer Danny Wilson for the manager award.
The winners will be announced on Friday 11 March and hopefully, the Latics representation is awarded further.
