Oldham Foodbank Collection

1 September 2022

On Saturday 3 September, ahead of our home fixture against Chesterfield, the club, together with Oldham Athletic Community Trust and Oldham Foodbank will host a food collection.

Prior to kick-off, supporters are kindly invited to make donations of food and essentials in order to help those in need within our community.

The foodbank, which delivers food directly to people’s homes, has already fed more than 10,000 people this year. It is now appealing for additional help as donations have dried up with the cost of living crisis yet demand has soared.

There will be three donation points around Boundary Park, these will be:

  • Outside of the OACT Family Stand turnstiles.
  • Outside of the Jimmy Frizzel Stand turnstiles.
  • Within the Club Shop.

Any item will be greatly accepted, however there is a greater emphasis on tinned food, pasta, rice and long life milk.

Martin Vose, OACT Head of Community, said: “This will be our first foodbank collection of the season as we work with local partners to support those in the most need across our communities.

“We appreciate that the current cost of living crisis is affected everyone, however anything big or small that is donated will be greatly received by Oldham Foodbank and those who receive emergency food parcels from them.”
