Oldham Foodbank Donations

6 September 2022

As a club, we’d like to thank all supporters who donated so generously to the Oldham Foodbank collection on Saturday.

Around 1,000 items were donated at three sites around Boundary Park ahead of the game against Chesterfield and were today (Tuesday) delivered to the foodbank.

The foodbank, which supplies food directly to people’s homes, has already fed more than 10,000 people this year and has been looking to support the community further as a result of the increased cost of living.

Martin Vose, OACT Head of Community, said: “The support for the foodbank collection at the weekend was nothing short of phenomenal and a special thanks goes to all supporters who donated.

“Many people within our community have been affected by the cost of living crisis and we’re very grateful that this has been recognised by our fanbase by the donations received.

“This was first foodbank collection of the season as we work with local partners to support those in the most need across our communities.”

While you’re here…

The foodbank collection was run in partnership with Oldham Athletic Community Trust, a registered charity which aims to provide positive opportunities through sport by using the power of football to engage.

Through the partnership with supported giving, you can now support the work delivered by OACT by either choosing to donate on a one-off or monthly basis.

All funds received will help to support the vast range of community-based projects currently being delivered by OACT. The platform offers a range of payment options for you to choose from; including major credit & debit cards and mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal.
