We are very pleased to welcome the award-winning, Oldham-based Arundel Bakery to our range of matchday catering.
From tomorrow’s game against Eastleigh, Arundel will be supplying their fantastic homemade pies for supporters to enjoy at kiosks throughout Boundary Park.
The addition of steak, curry, and chicken and ham pies will be available tomorrow, with further options planned for future games.
A family-run, local business, the bakery was set up by Daniel Arundel, whose vision and dedication in establishing the company saw earn him Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2015 Oldham Business Awards.
Daniel’s achievements are a genuine local success story, starting off by selling cakes at Oldham Market in 2012 at the age of 16, before working at further sites across Manchester. Arundel Bakery has now grown to having three established shops in Oldham.
“We’re really pleased to be starting this partnership with Lancashire Catering, who operate the kiosks at Boundary Park," said Daniel.
“We’ve been delighted by how the business has grown in recent years and as a family-run Oldham business, I am delighted to be on board with Latics.
“My mum ran a sandwich shop for 20 years so I’ve always had a catering background. I went to the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy at Oldham College and he awarded me the highly-commended Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
“The day after I left college, I opened up an industrial unit at Forge Industrial Estate and have now been there seven years. We’ve currently got a team of six people and supply lots of shops in and around Oldham.
“I’ve met Frank Rothwell at a number of different awards over the years and he’s been incredibly supportive. Kashif Ashraf is a great person in the Oldham business community and I also have a lot to thank him for.
“I’m really looking forward to developing this partnership with Latics and seeing supporters enjoy the pies we have got to offer!”
