Oldham Athletic in partnership with Oldham Athletic Community Trust and Oldham Greenhill Community Sports and Recreation Club held a Share Ramadan Iftar event on Wednesday 5 April at Boundary Park.
The event featured people from diverse backgrounds who were fasting, with Oldham Athletic staff joining the local community members to break their fast in the Broadway Suite.
It was a great chance for club staff to fast for a day, and then join in to open the Iftar later in the evening.
As a club we were delighted to welcome people from all communities, as they shared their experiences of the holy month of Ramadan.
Latics CEO, Darren Royle said: “It was great to see so many people share their experiences and personal journeys around Ramadan last night.
“As a club we pride ourselves on welcoming people from all walks of life, and this event was a key part of that.”
We’d like to thank Oldham Athletic Community Trust, AI Catering Services, Hussain & Sons, The Grill, Oldham Snooker Academy, Bella Napoli Pizzas (Shaw), Palace Kebab House, Oldham Event Centre, Singlemorn Poultry and Oldham Greenhill CSRC, for donating food for the night, which was served by Oldham Event Centre.
