The second instalment of Latics’ Bank Holiday takes place with a trip to Glanford Park to play Scunthorpe.
Oldham will want to go one better than on Good Friday having been denied maximum points in the closing stages at home to Altrincham.
There have been plenty of draws for Latics recently, with four of the last five games finishing all square and fine margins in evidence during that recent run.
Scunthorpe have experienced a difficult season after losing their EFL status at the end of the last campaign. They currently sit second-bottom in the National League table, ten points adrift of safety with four games left to play.
The opposition
It has been a season of great difficulty for Scunthorpe both on and off the pitch.
Having been rooted inside the relegation for the majority of the campaign, the Iron also faced a series of financial issues which led to a change of ownership.
The takeover of the club by David Hilton in January staved off the threat of liquidation and led to the arrival of manager Jimmy Deann along with a raft of new signings.
Despite an upturn in results, Dean was always going to face an uphill talk to turn Scunthorpe’s season around and they could be relegated at the end of this match if they fail to win.

Watch out for
20-year-old Cameron Wilson has five goals to his name this season from an attacking midfield position.
Born in Scunthorpe, he progressed through the club’s youth set-up before making his first-team debut in August 2021.
He has since bemome a regular in the Iron XI, notching two goals in their last league victory over Wealdstone, as well as the winner at Halifax in the club’s first game after their takeover was confirmed.
In the dugout
Jimmy Dean was appointed as first-team manager shortly after the change of ownership in January.
The 40-year-old arrived at Glanford Park following a hugely successful spell at National League North side Peterborough Sports, where he enjoyed four promotions in five completed seasons.
He steered them to three titles and 11 trophies in total since arriving manager in 2015, and has been widely acclaimed for his excellent work with the club, establishing a reputation as one of the brightest managerial talents in non-league.

Scott Jackson is the man in the middle, with Stuart Richardson and Martin Chester taking up the lines, whist Haydn Lavender is fourth official.
