Oldham Athletic, supported by Oldham Athletic Community Trust, would like to invite both supporters and members of the local community to join us as we look to increase our supporter liaison team.
SLOs act as a bridge between football clubs and supporters, while providing a two-way flow of information on key issues.
They ensure that fans' voices are heard throughout their favourite club.
Woking alongside the supporter liaison manager, we are seeking to increase the knowledge and skillset with the appointment of both an Inclusion & Disability SLO, in a voluntary capacity.
Main aims of the role:
- To work with Oldham Athletic to make matchdays an enjoyable and inclusive experience for supporters:
- To work with Oldham Athletic to ensure the supporter base is diverse and representative of the borough of Oldham:
- To be a point of contact for Oldham Athletic supporters.
- To provide feedback as to how the club improve services after communicating with various elements of the fanbase.
Su Schofield, the representative for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion on the Board of Directors of Oldham Athletic commented: “Sport should provide a level playing field for all, regardless of age, gender, sexuality, race or religion. At Oldham Athletic we would like to welcome and encourage ALL to Boundary Park”.
Oldham Athletic has a commitment to continually ensure that as a football club we are as diverse and inclusive as possible, therefore we welcome all feedback in relation to the SLO team and invite supporters to contact us via: pamela.makin@oldhamathletic.co.uk. For individuals wishing to apply for either role, or request further information, please use the same email also.
