Oldham Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of former Portsmouth and Sheffield United right-back Kieron Freeman.
The 31-year-old defender joins Latics on a six-month deal, having played in all of England’s top four divisions.
Kieron came through Nottingham Forest’s youth team, and had a number of loan spells with local sides, before joining Derby in 2012.
After three years at Derby, he joined Sheffield United, where he’d go on to win two promotions with the Blades.
The first came in 2016/17, as United stomped to the title with 100 points, in a season which saw him net on ten occasions.
The second promotion came two years later, as they were pipped to the title by Norwich, but still went up thanks to finishing second.
After leaving Bramall Lane, he spent time with Swansea and Swindon, before joining Portsmouth.
Kieron will wear number 23 during his time at Latics.
Welcome to the club, Kieron!
