The club can confirm that Benny Couto has joined Cymru Premier side, The New Saints, on a loan deal until January 2024.
Based in Shropshire, TNS, as they’re known, have won Wales’ top tier in ten out of the last 12 seasons, including the last two titles.
Benny made his Latics debut in the EFL Trophy against Salford City back in August 2021, before playing 45 minutes in the League Cup defeat to Brentford.
The 19-year-old then made his league debut away at Spotland, playing 86 minutes as Latics beat local side Rochdale, 1-0.
Since then, the youngster has made a total of 36 appearances in all competitions.
