2023 Christmas Hospital Visit

14 December 2023

A selection of players paid a visit to the children's ward at Royal Oldham Hospital as part of the annual Christmas visit.

Supporting Oldham Royal Hospital, Oldham Care Organisation, and The NorthCare Charity, Oldham Athletic and Oldham Athletic Community Trust visited the Children’s Ward based in the Lucy Pugh Building at the Royal Oldham Hospital to spread some festive cheer this Christmas.

Oldham Care Organisation and NorthCare Charity are part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, who provide hospital and community services to Oldham and across Greater Manchester.

Micky Mellon, Gary Brabbin, Liam Hogan, Dan Gardner, Hallam Hope and Charlie Raglan, all took time out of their day to say hello to the children at the hospital and to hand out some presents!

The lads, alongside a selection of Latics staff members, were on hand to hand out gifts to those children spending Christmas in hospital.

Karen Casper, Fundraising Officer at NorthCare Charity said: “We’d like to thank Oldham Athletic staff, players and Chaddy the Owl for visiting the children’s ward at the Royal Oldham Hospital.

“The joy the visit brought to the children, families, and staff was wonderful. The lovely gifts for the patients really did put a smile on their faces. The visit made a real difference to the wellbeing of our patients and staff and NorthCare is looking forward to working together with the Club on future projects.“
