Matchday Guide: Gateshead (H)

The next game at Boundary Park sees Latics host Gateshead in the FA Trophy Fourth Round on Saturday.

As usual, there’s plenty going on around the ground ahead of kick-off and we’d like to encourage all supporters to arrive as early as possible.

 

Tickets

Tickets can still be purchased online for this game up until 3pm. Please note, for away fans, there is a separate ticketing page.

Admission prices have been reduced for this fixture as follows:

  • Adults - £12
  • Concessions (O65/U21) - £5
  • U7s - Free

The Ticket Office, located at the front of the Main Stand, off Furtherwood Road, is open on matchday from 11am until kick-off.

Admission at the turnstile is via cash only. Supporters wishing to pay be card on the day of the game can obtain a ticket online or at the Ticket Office.

Please note that only the Joe Royle Stand and Rochdale Road End will be open for home supporters for this fixture. Gateshead fans will be house in the Family Stand within the Rochdale Road End.

 

Fan Bar

Situated behind the Joe Royle Stand, the Fan Bar is open for this game from 12pm, with live music returning ahead of the match, in addition to food and a wide range of drinks.

The Manchester Derby (kick-off 12.30pm) will be screened live in the bar ahead of our own game.

With improvements continuing to be made all the time following its opening in the summer, the bar has proved to be increasingly popular with supporters ahead of home matches.

There is good capacity in the bar to welcome more fans and it is the ideal way to kick off a matchday at Boundary Park.

A second big screen has recently been installed and with a new layout, refurbished bar and a wide selection of drinks available, it is a great way to catch up with friends and enjoy the atmosphere on a matchday.

 

Club Shop

Open from 9.30am on matchday, the Club Shop is the place the visit for all your Latics memorabilia, replica kits and clothing.

Starting today, there is a fantastic 40% off all items in store, including sale items, so make sure you visit the shop located in the corner of the Joe Royle Stand.

The shop is open until 5.30pm.

 

Matchday Programme

Available for £2, the reduced edition of the matchday programme provides all the latest information from the club and a series of new features.

The team of programme sellers are located around the outside of the ground, or you can visit the programme office, next to the Main Stand, from 1pm.

 

Car Parking

Two car park sites are open for all supporters for this fixture and cost £5.

The site at back of the Joe Royle Stand, off Hilbre Avenue, has the postcode 'OL2 5BL,' whilst the Royal Oldham Hospital is only a short walk from the ground. A steward will be on hand to assist.

Additional information

As this is an FA Trophy tie, the match will be decided by a penalty shoot-out if the score is level at the end of regular time. No extra time will be played. The game will not be available for streaming.

The OACT Tuck Shop at the back of the Family Stand will be closed for this fixture.

Tram

Fast, frequent and reliable services run to Oldham where you can then continue your journey to Boundary Park on foot or by bus.

Westwood is the closest stop to the ground, around a 20-minute walk away. Journeys on the tram take approximately 20 minutes from Manchester Victoria.

Metrolink operates a zonal fare system with Westwood, Oldham King Street, Oldham Central and Oldham Mumps all located in zone 3.

The cost of a zone 1+2+3 ticket is £3.80 for a single journey or £4.30 for an off-peak day travelcard. This price covers travel across any of these zones, such as a journey between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria.

 

Metrolink Park & Ride

You can avoid the busy match-day traffic by leaving your car at a Park and Ride site, before completing the remainder of your journey on Metrolink.

With plenty of sites across the network, it’s easy to park up and hop on the tram for a hassle-free journey to the ground.

Park and Ride sites include:

  • Oldham Mumps with 270 spaces – Prince Street, Oldham, OL1 3TJ
  • Piccadilly with 550 spaces – Boad Street, Manchester, M1 2RP
  • Rochdale Railway Station with 217 spaces – Hare Street, Rochdale, OL11 1JL

 

Bus

Currently, the 149, 159, 181, 182, 183, 402, 408, 409 and 418 services run close to the stadium.

If you are travelling by bus to Boundary Park please check service times with your operator before you travel.

You can plan your bus journey with TfGM.

 

Wheelchair & Disabled Access


Wheelchair users and people with mobility issues should head to car park behind the Joe Royle Stand off Hilbre Avenue where full disabled access to the Chadderton Road End is located. This ensures supporters can get inside Boundary Park safely.
