Dan joined Gateshead in October 2020, and was a key player for the Tynesiders in their survival last season, making 43 appearances and scoring five goals.
Manager David Unsworth was delighted to get the deal over the line.
“It’s a great signing, Dan was actually our first signing of the summer he’s just been away on holiday, so I’m delighted to finally get this over the line,” he said.
“Dan really impressed me last year with his performances, he can play off the left or the right and even down the middle which gives us incredible versatility.
“It’s a great option for us and he’s a workaholic and I love that about him.
“He’s desperate to be involved in the attacks but also works back and does his defensive side aswell, he’s a fine player”.
