Loan Watch 2023/24

31 October 2023

A round up of how Latics’ loanees have fared over the past month.

Jake Forshaw - Farsley Celtic

Jake has continued getting minutes under his belt for Farsley, making substitute appearances in their games against Scarborough and Brackley, before starting and playing 68 minutes of their draw against Warrington Town, where he came up against former Latic, Peter Clarke.

Kofi Moore - Workington

Workington have struggled this month, picking up just one point in the league, which has seen them slide down to 11th. Kofi’s still been a regular in the side though, getting an assist against Gainsborough Trinity, and will be looking to emulate his goalscoring antics from previous months throughout the rest of the year.

Benny Couto - Ashton United

Benny has been ever present in the Ashton line-up this month, helping the Robins climb to 3rd in the table. He was part of their FA Cup side which narrowly lost 2-0 to Kidderminster just over two weeks ago, and has continued to be praised for his performances.

Llyton Chapman - Chadderton

It’s been a successful first month for Llyton at Chadderton, as he’s helped the club go undefeated in October so far, as they prepare to face Radcliffe in the Manchester Premier Cup tonight.

On his debut he won Man of the Match for his performance against Ramsbottom United, as he netted the winning goal at Harry Williams Riverside Stadium. Chaddy are now fourth in the table, inside the play-offs, and look in a good position to stay there as the season approaches the halfway mark.

Frazer Cookson - Northwich Victoria

Frazer’s run in the Northwich team continues from last month, as has his goalscoring from defence. He headed home another late winner, this time against Romulus, to secure all three points for the Vics.

Northwich are currently 13th in the Midland Football League, but have a number of games in hand on teams above them.

Ollie Havens - New Mills

Second Year Academy scholar Ollie Havens is enjoying a successful spell with New Mills in the NPL Division One South.

The attacking midfielder scored for four games in a row, including a fine finish against Maine Road and another at hoem to Winsford before also finding the target away at Stafford.
