2024 Easter Hospital Visit

5 April 2024

Players and staff from the Latics first team called in at the Children's Ward at Royal Oldham Hospital for an Easter visit this week.

Supporting Royal Oldham Hospital, Oldham Care Organisation and The NorthCare Charity, the players visited the young people currently in the Lucy Pugh Building at the Royal Oldham Hospital.

They distributed Easter Eggs, chocolate and cards, spending time with the patients and their parents.

Oldham Care Organisation and NorthCare Charity are part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, who provide hospital and community services to Oldham and across Greater Manchester.

Manager Micky Mellon and assistant Gary Brabin were joined by captain Liam Hogan, Dan Gardner and Joe Garner, who all took time out of their day to say hello to the children at the hospital and to hand out gifts.

The players, alongside a selection of Latics staff members, were on hand to hand out gifts to those children spending time in hospital.

Karen Casper, NorthCare Charity Fundraising Officer, said: “As always, we really appreciate the club and the players taking time out of their busy schedules to join NorthCare Charity and visit the Children’s Unit at Royal Oldham Hospital.

“The visits never fail to put smiles on the faces of our patients and staff and the Easter treats and cards were gorgeous.”
