28 August 24
Oldham Athletic Community Trust are delighted to re-launch matchday sensory pack to supporters with autism for the club’s home games at Boundary Park.
Back in 2018 Oldham Athletic were the first club in the EFL to launch the initiative, which quickly received both national and international recognition and we are proud to now see clubs across the country providing sensory packs to their supporters as we collectively try to ensure that football is a game that can be enjoyed by all.
The packs, which are free of charge, are specifically tailored for children and include:
- A Latics branded bag.
- Several sensory based handheld toys.
- Accessibility card (which can be shown to matchday staff and stewards to ask for assistance/priority when entering the ground) and OAFC branded lanyard.
- OAFC branded medal
- Activity book & felt tips.
Martin Vose, Oldham Athletic Community Trust Head of Community commented: “We are delighted to be able to re-launch the free sensory packs to Oldham Athletic fans.
“Football is a game for all, and this is another positive step in making Oldham Athletic and Boundary Park a venue where everyone can come and have a comfortable and enjoyable experience.”
There are a limited number of packs available, which will be issued on a first come first served basis with Oldham Athletic season ticket holders receiving priority. OACT would like to remind supporters that not all enquiries will result in receiving a pack.
