Loanee Dallas Strengthens Latics Attack

22 January 2024

Oldham Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of Andrew Dallas from Barnsley.

The 24-year-old joins Latics on loan until the end of the season, having scored 50 goals in 114 National League appearances.

“We’re really pleased with Andrew, I’m absolutely delighted the football club has backed us in allowing us to get this done," said manager Micky Mellon.

"We're another step closer to us seeing a side that can win football games consistently.

"I’m sure everyone knows that Andrew is certainly a signing who shows we’re heading in the right direction.

"He’s a top player who has scored goals at this level in the past and like I say it’s a big step forward for us to start seeing the team that I certainly want to see here.”

Andrew started his career with Rangers, before spending two seasons with Cambridge United in League Two.

After a successful loan spell with Weymouth, the Scotsman joined Solihull, enjoying two successful seasons at Damson Park, scoring 19 in his debut campaign and making the play-off final with the Moors.

13 goals the following campaign encouraged Chesterfield to take him in on loan at the end of last season, as he helped the Spireites to the National League play-off final.

The transfer is subject to international clearance.

Andrew will wear squad number 29.

Welcome to Latics, Andrew!
