1991-93 Retro Shirt Re-Released!
Commercial
5 December 25
Oldham Athletic are very excited to unveil the limited re-release of one of the club’s most iconic shirts - the 1991-93 home design.
The cult classic strip that saw the club promoted to the top flight and become founding members of the Premier League is now available exclusively in-store.
Faithfully recreated by Umbro, this release is limited to 300 shirts, which can only be purchased in-store at Boundary Park. With sizes ranging from extra-small to 3XL, each shirt comes alongside a certificate of authenticity signed by club legend and matchday ambassador, Andy Ritchie. Making it the perfect gift for any Oldham Athletic supporter this festive period.
Shirts are priced at £80, with a special price of £72 for season ticket holders with a 10% discount, available exclusively from Athletic Store from 9.30am on Friday 5 December.
This limited-edition run ensures every shirt is individually numbered, with the unique number displayed at the bottom of the garment. Each purchase also includes a certificate of authenticity, adding further value to this rare collector’s item.
Paying homage to one of the club’s most successful and memorable periods, the striking royal and navy blue design adorns the entire shirt. Mixing the iconic Umbro logo in a checkerboard pattern, symbolic of the early '90s.
Details on the shirt stay true to the original with the Umbro and Bovis logos embossed in raised white felt, complemented by the beloved diamond-style crest. With the white and red motif on the right sleeve and striking colour.
The design was worn by Joe Royle’s legendary side over two seasons - and can be seen on the images from the Second Division title-winning fixture against Sheffield Wednesday having been introduced early.

For the launch of this retro shirt, we were delighted to welcome back two of the leading players from that era, Andy Barlow and Andy Ritchie.
Barlow began his career at the club in 1984 when the club was in the Old Second Division. The Oldham-native featured for Joe Royle’s side in the 86/87 play-offs, the 1990 EFL Cup final and the title-winning home fixture against Sheffield Wednesday the following year.
Joining his former teammate, ‘Stitch’ is no stranger to OL1. Andy Ritchie’s association with the club spanned over 12 years. Ritchie returned to Boundary Park ahead of this season in his current role of Matchday Ambassador.

The limited edition 1991-93 retro shirt is exclusively available to purchase in-store at Athletic Store. But hurry, as the limited number of shirts are expected to sell fast ahead of Christmas and is only available while stocks last.
