As a part of EFL Week Of Action, charity Angels United were invited down to Chapel Road to watch the lads train and meet the first team squad and management.

The charity have been involved with the club, being the Charity Spotlight for the Barrow game were players where seen warming up in the blue and pink half-and-half t-shirts to raise awareness.

Angels United are a fully registered charity that continue to provide support on and off the football pitch to raise awareness for people that had one thing in common, suffering the heartbreak of losing a baby or child at any age or stage of pregnancy.

About Angels United from members themselves:

We didn’t choose this journey heartbreak did. But from the darkest moments, something powerful was born: Angels United.

Founded by a 13 dads back in 2020 we came together to make a difference and make sure no one else had to walk this path alone.

Using the power of football we have built a safe space where grief is understood, memories are honoured, and healing happens through togetherness. In July this year we became a fully registered charity and we continue to provide support on and off the football pitch.

Tuesday Night Support Sessions

Every Tuesday evening, we run free football-based support sessions.

These aren’t about ability, fitness, or competition they’re about connection. Whether you want to play, watch, or just sit with others who understand, you’ll always be welcome. It’s a chance to talk, listen, or simply share space with people who truly get it.

How You Can Help

As a charity, we rely on the kindness and generosity of others to keep our work going.

Fundraising, donations, and community support mean we can continue to provide free sessions, events, and a lifeline for grieving families.

Whether it’s organising a fundraiser, attending a match, or simply spreading the word, every act of support makes a difference. If you’ve experienced loss and are looking for a place to belong or if you want to support our mission - please reach out.

There is always room in this family for one more. Contact us via our social channels @AngelsUnitedFC Email us info@angelsunitedfc.co.uk
