Oldham Athletic is delighted to announce a new partnership with Old School BBQ Bus, which becomes the club’s shorts sponsor for the next two seasons.

From tomorrow’s Emirates FA Cup First Round tie against Northampton Town, the Old School BBQ Bus logo will feature proudly on the Latics first-team shorts.

Based in Oldham, the Old School BBQ Bus is the UK's first outdoor BBQ street food joint and has established itself as a highly successful restaurant rooted in authentic “low and slow” American-style barbecue food.

As part of the collaboration, Latics supporters can enjoy 10% off at the restaurant on production of their Season Ticket.

The venue delivers a standout menu of slow-smoked meats, bold burgers, foot-long hot dogs, loaded fries, soft tacos, vegan and vegetarian alternatives and sides that don’t compromise on flavour.

Over time the restaurant is based on Alford Street in Hollinwood offering full-scale dining, a live-music stage and a specialist menu of smoked meats, burgers, foot-long dogs, soft tacos and vegan/vegetarian options.

Signature dishes include 12-hour smoked pulled pork, 14-hour smoked Angus brisket and the “Hollinwood Hangman” hot challenge burger.

The menu also features a vegan Beyond burger, halloumi-based options and sides that reflect the venue’s creative twist on American barbecue.

What makes the Old School BBQ Bus stand out is its combination of bold flavour, theatrical presentation and local community roots.

From its origins as a bright yellow school-bus kitchen to its current venue with a covered heated outdoor area, a fully-stocked bar and live music line-up, it has become a destination rather than just a food outlet.

Director of Old School BBQ Bus, Mark Fairley, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to become the new sports sponsor of Oldham Athletic. As a Latics supporters myself and a business based in the town, this is a fantastic opportunity to support the club that means so much to the community.

"We love the passion and history of Latics and look forward to seeing our brand on the players’ shorts from this weekend which is a very proud moment for us.

"As a restaurant, we are very proud of what we do and we look forward to welcoming even more Latics supporters down to eat with us!"

Latics Head of Revenue, Hospitality & Events, Mark Smith, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Old School BBQ Bus on board as our new sports sponsor.

“This is an excellent partnership for us - a successful, ambitious local company with strong roots in Oldham.

“We are delighted to be working with Mark, who himself is a hugely passionate Latics supporter. Having their logo on the shorts from this weekend is brilliant for both parties.

“Anyone who’s visited knows their food is outstanding, slow-smoked meats, burgers and loaded fries that are full of flavour and character.

“It’s exactly the kind of energy and quality we want to be associated with at Oldham Athletic. Partnering with a local business that celebrates great food and community spirit is something we’re really proud of.”

Old School BBQ bus is open on Monday - Thursday (12pm - 10pm), Friday - Saturday (12pm - 11pm) and Sunday (12pm - 10pm).
