OACT Supporting Young People Through Million Hours Funding!
Oldham Athletic Community Trust has secured support through the National Lottery’s Million Hours Fund to deliver new youth sessions across Oldham.
Oldham Athletic Community Trust (OACT) is delighted to have secured support through the Million Hours Fund, backed by the National Lottery Community Fund, to deliver new youth sessions across Oldham. The initiative aims to create safe, positive opportunities for young people during the hours when they are most likely to benefit from additional support, helping them stay active, connected and engaged within their local communities.
Funding will enable Oldham Athletic Community Trust to introduce new sessions at a number of locations across Oldham, expanding opportunities for young people to take part in safe, positive activities within their own communities.
By working closely with trusted local partners, the programme aims to create welcoming environments where young people can take part in positive activities, build confidence and develop strong connections within their community.
Martin Vose, Head of Community at Oldham Athletic Community Trust, said:
"We are delighted to have been successful in securing this funding through the Million Hours initiative, which will allow us to expand opportunities for young people across Oldham. This project links closely with our recently launched strategy around creating ‘A Better Oldham’, where partnership working and collaboration sit at the heart of what we do.
