Borthwick-Jackson joined Latics on a permanent deal in August 2020 after he had spent the second-half of the 19/20 season on loan at Boundary Park.
The 23-year old began his career with Manchester United. During his time at Old Trafford, he won many plaudits including the 2016 Under 21 player of the year.
Before joining Oldham, Borthwick-Jackson has had loan moves to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leeds United, Scunthorpe United and Tranmere Rovers.
The young defender has represented England at under 16, 17, 19 and 20 level.
