Charlie Cooper joined Latics on the eve of the current season following a successful trial period.
The 25-year-old midfielder, who won promotion via the National League play-offs with Forest Green Rovers in 2017, signed for Oldham having featured regularly during pre-season.
Cooper started his career with Birmingham City, but failed to make a first-team appearance. He then went on loan to York City and Forest Green Rovers, with the latter becoming a permanent move in 2017.
After helping Forest Green secure their place in League Two, he had two more short loan spells with Newport County and Boreham Wood before moving to Halifax Town as they reached the play-offs in 2020.
He then played a season with Woking, before joining Wealdstone last summer.
