Missilou, a DR Congo International, signed a one-year deal with the club for the 2018/19 season.
The French born midfielder began his career at Auxerre before spells at Brest, FC Montceau, Entente SSG and most recently Le Puy Foot.
The 26-year-old had an impressive first season in English football with Latics, becoming the heart of the midfield.
He made 47 appearances in the 2018/19 campaign, scoring one goal which was a sweetly struck volley in a 4-1 win over Yeovil Town.
