David Okagbue signed on loan from Stoke City in September.
The Irish-born central defender joined Latics on a youth loan having spent the last three years with the Championship side.
Okagbue is also a Republic of Ireland U19 international, and has played with young Latic Harry Vaughan during his time on international duty.
The then 18-year-old spent time out on loan at Chester last season, before returning to Stoke.
He’s continued to impress for The Potters, and was on the bench for their EFL Cup tie against Morecambe in August.
