A product of the Oldham Athletic Academy, George has earned his place as a first team player due to his performances during the 2017/18 season.
Initially he enjoyed a successful loan spell at AFC Fylde before being recalled due to injuries in the squad.
He came back and made 13 appearances for Latics and showed the defensive qualities he possesses and leadership in a young defence at times.
George scored his first senior goal away at Northampton Town and will be hoping to continue his development by being a focal figure in the team this season.
