The 20-year-old joined on loan from the Gunners on deadline day initially until January 2021.
Becoming the fifth loanee for the first team squad this season, he is comfortable playing at centre-back or right-back and is at Boundary Park to get much-needed game time in the EFL as part of his development.
Most recently, he captained the Arsenal U21 side against Crawley in their EFL Trophy win and is also an England youth international.
He scored his first professional goal with his late effort for Latics to win the game 2-1 against Cheltenham.
His loan was later extended until the end of the 2020/21 season after impressing in a Latics shirt.
