Versatile youngster Jordan Windass moved to Latics on two-year contract in June.

The right-sided prospect, 22, who has spent the last two seasons with Bradford Park Avenue, is the youngest son of former Latics striker Dean and brother of current Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Josh.

Windass, who can play on the right side of the back-line or midfield, has progressed with a number of non-league clubs in the Yorkshire area during recent years.

Windass, whose highlight of last season was a 35-yard rocket of a goal he struck against Boston United, has also featured earlier in his career for Gainsborough Trinity and North Ferriby.

Windass’ move to Boundary Park adds competition to the squad whilst also giving the youngster the opportunity to develop in his career.
