The former academy product re-joined Latics on a free transfer.
The frontman has penned a one-year deal with the club with an option of a further year.
Adams was at the club’s academy from U12’s to U16’s before moving onto Bradford City on a scholarship.
He made a couple of appearances on the Bradford bench last campaign but has yet to make a senior appearance.
The 18-year-old featured for Latics against Ashton United, where he scored twice, and he was also named on the bench against Stockport County.
He joined National League outfit Chorley FC on a month's loan in January 2020 for valuable game time to aid his development after making only three appearances in all competitions so far this season.
