Winger Luke Burgess has completed a move to Latics on a two-year contract at the start of the season.
The 23-year-old, who started out as a youngster at Everton before moving to Wigan, has spent the previous two-and-a-half years with Salford.
A wide player who can contribute chances and goals, Burgess spent three seasons with Wigan before his move to Moor Lane and can also feature in a central position off the main striker.
Having moved from Everton to continue his development in the youth set-up at Wigan, Burgess made five first-team appearances whilst at the DW Stadium after signing a professional contract in 2017.
He spent time on loan at Chorley and Barrow before switching to Salford in January 2020. The Liverpool-born player featured 21 times at Moor Lane, scoring three goals and showcasing his ability with an impressive solo effort against Bradford during his second season.
