Tomas Egert signed a one-year deal with an option of a further year with Latics.
The 25-year-old has spent time with Burton Albion, and he made three appearances for the Brewers in the Sky Bet Championship.
Egert began his career with Slovan Liberec in Czech Republic, whilst at the club, he enjoyed numerous loans spells in his homeland.
