Oldham Athletic

Tom Hamer is a product of the Oldham Athletic Academy being with the club since 2015 having previously played grassroots football.

Hamer made his senior debut in the Checkatrade Trophy clash with Leicester City U21s and continued to perform through the rest of the season as defensive injuries hit the squad.

The youngster was arguably the shining light of Oldham’s 2017/18 campaign and will be a great player in years to come.

He can operate as a centre back or right back who is quick along the ground as well as being a real threat in the air.

Hamer scored his first senior goal away at Northampton Town and provided assists for his team mates during last season.

The academy product has become an ever-present part of the Latics defence featuring 35 times in all competitions last season.
