Dan Gardner is a box-to-box midfield who arrived for the start of the 2017/18 season.
Gardner originally started at Crewe Alexandra before facing spells in non-league with Droylsden and Halifax Town.
He was snapped up by Chesterfield where he made a name for himself despite having a short loan spell out at Bury.
He was John Sheridan’s first summer signing last season and his performances saw him pick up Oldham’s Players’ Player of the Season award.
