The midfielder joined from Cheltenham Town after making 27 appearances this season for the Robins, scoring twice in the EFL Trophy.

Tom brings with him plenty of EFL experience for the likes of Stevenage, Port Vale , Lincoln City and most recently Cheltenham.

He signed a two-year-deal with Port Vale and was named club captain for the second half of the 2021-22 campaign.

Injury in April looked to end his season but he managed to recover in time for Vale’s play-off final, starting as they beat Mansfield 3-0 to win promotion to League One.

After it was announced his contract would not be renewed after the summer of 2023, he joined Cheltenham Town where he has made 56 appearances before joining Latics.
