Hudson, who was at Preston until last summer, joined Oldham having previously spent time with National League North side Buxton.
The goalkeeper is a product of the Preston North End Academy, he made his first-team debut as a teenager, coming on in place of Jordan Pickford in a game againt Leeds in 2015.
The 24-year-old also spent time out on loan with Bury and Bamber Bridge, making four appearances for both sides.
He was released by Preston in the summer, and spent the first few months of the season with Buxton.
