A selection of players paid a visit to the children's ward at Royal Oldham Hospital as part of the annual Christmas visit on Thursday.
Supporting Oldham Royal Hospital, Oldham Care Organisation, and The NorthCare Charity, Oldham Athletic and Oldham Athletic Community Trust visited the Children’s Ward based in the Lucy Pugh Building at the Royal Oldham Hospital to spread some festive cheer this Christmas.
Oldham Care Organisation and NorthCare Charity are part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, who provide hospital and community services to Oldham and across Greater Manchester.
Micky Mellon, Scott Davies, Tom Conlon, Manny Monthe and Josh Lundstram all took time out of their day to say hello to the children at the hospital and to hand out some presents!
Darren Royle, Sue Bowskill, Callum Irving from OACT and Chaddy the Owl all joined in on the visit also.
The lads, alongside a selection of Latics staff members, were on hand to hand out gifts to those children spending Christmas in hospital.
Lisa at NorthCare Charity said: “We’d like to thank Oldham Athletic staff, players and Chaddy the Owl for visiting the children’s ward at the Royal Oldham Hospital.
“We are so incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from the club. The gifts which have kindly been donated are going to make such a wonderful impact on the children who will be in hospital over the Christmas period. Safe to say the club has helped us spread the festive cheer across the Children’s Unit again this year."
The gifts were provided through donations from the first team squad, OAFC, OACT and local plumbing business, Top Tier Plumbing.
