Latics were forced to share the spoils as they were pegged back in their latest pre-season outing at Cantilever Park.
The game featured six goals as Latics looked to be in control of for 65 minutes after an own goal from former Oldham defender Peter Clarke and Mike Fondop's brace had the visitors three goals to the good.
After a host of substitutions for Latics, the home side then gained control of the game. A Josh Miles hat-trick had the hosts level, and the game ended all square.
Micky Mellon made three changes to the side that lost at Radcliffe on Saturday, with Jesrun Uchegbulam, Oli Hammond and Dan Gardner coming into the team.
The game started as a cagey affair with both teams trying to figure each other out.
It was Latics who had the first clear-cut chances of the game. A scramble in the Warrington box forced Dan Atherton into two quick saves, first from Hammond then Harry Charsley on the rebound.
The hosts' first sight of goal was five minutes later, when a smart turn from Woods allowed him to find the dangerous Miles, but his strike sailed over Mat Hudson’s goal.
The opening goal of the game was created by Latics five minutes before the break. Tom Conlon curled an inch-perfect cross onto the head of Fondop who powered his header towards goal forcing the ball to be bundled home by Warrington defender Clarke.
Just before the break the visitors doubled their lead. Uchegbulam crossed towards Fondop once again, and his header was no match for Atherton and Latics went into the break two goals to the good.
In the second half Latics started off in the same vein as the first, creating a host of chances.
They got their third on the 60-minute mark. Hammond’s close-range shot was blocked, but it fell to the feet of Fondop who made no mistake in firing home.
Mellon made a series of changes five minutes later, allowing time in the pitch for all of the squad.
Warrington then grew into the game and pulled a goal back through Miles after he nicked the ball off Magnus Norman in the Latics box.
Momentum was in the home side's favour, and they managed to grab a second just minutes later. The dangerous Miles once again causing havoc, and he tapped home from close range.
The forward then completed his hat-trick, he received the ball on the right hand side, cut inside and his curling effort found the back of the net bringing the sides were level.
Latics then settled down and found their feet once again, and the game ended all square.
