Latics and Altrincham shared the spoils after a 2-2 draw at Boundary Park.
Latics found themselves a goal behind after the 40 minute mark when Alex Newby found himself in a shooting position inside the area and he fired home past Jacob Dennis in the Latics goal to open the scoring.
35 seconds after the restart the visitors lead was doubled when Regan Linney curled an effort high into the top right corner to give Altrincham a two goal lead.
James Norwood was introduced in the second period and gave Latics parity when his low struck effort flew past Caleb Ansen and into the back of the net.
Latics found themselves level on 83 minutes when another subsititute Josh Lundstram nodded home at the back post following a goalkeeping mistake to give Latics a share of the points.
The first attack came the way of Latics, Jake Caprice crossed looking for Vimal Yoganathan, Crawford got a touch on the ball at a vital time and it went out for a corner.
Altrincham’s first sight of goal came on 20 minutes, Regan Linney fired over after a quick break away.
Jacob Dennis, who was between the sticks for the first time in league replacing the injured Mat Hudson launched the ball forward looking for Mike Fondop. The ball after a deflection, fell kindly to Billy Waters, who found himself in on goal but Caleb Ansen made himself big and saved well.
The dangerous Linney found joy down the left flank, on 32 minutes he escaped his man and drove forward, only for Jordan Rossiter to be in his way and block for a corner at the right time for Latics.
Alex Newby would have thought he was in for the visitors with 10 minutes to go to the break, Jake Leake got back in the nick of time to block and then Charlie Raglan cleared.
With five to go to the break, Newby turned his man inside the box and fired with his left foot. His effort proved too powerful for Dennis and crept into the bottom right corner to give the visitors the lead.
The second-half commenced and it got off to the worst possible start for Latics, the visitors scored after 35 seconds. Linney found himself in space and his curling effort flew into the back of the net to double the hosts’ lead.
James Norwood was introduced off the bench in a triple change, and he rewarded Micky’s faith by firing home three minutes after his introduction. Fondop slipped in Norwood excellently, who took a touch and fired into the bottom right corner to half the defecit.
As Latics looked to find the equaliser Jake Caprice's cross took a deflection and came to substitute Josh Kay quickly at the back post, he attempted to steer the ball towards goal but his effort was over the bar.
With seven minutes to go, substitute Josh Lundstram latched onto a mistake by the Altrincham goalkeeper and found himself free with the goal at his mercy to nod home and level the scores.
The referee’s whistle sounded 10 minutes to give Latics and Altrincham a spoil of the shares.
