Clucas Moves To Lincoln

Oldham Athletic can confirm that Sam Clucas has completed a transfer to Lincoln City.

Clucas leaves Boundary Park after a clause in his contract was triggered by an approach from the League One side.

The club has exhausted all avenues during our negotiations in trying to keep Sam but despite the offer of an improved contract, it became apparent that the lure of returning to his hometown club and future opportunities beyond playing football were too great.

Sam made nine appearances for Latics after joining in November, registering three assists including his debut in the Emirates FA Cup first round win at Tranmere Rovers.

His most recent game was the away fixture at Eastleigh, providing the delivery for both goals in the 2-2 draw.
