Ten players from the Latics first team will proudly be taking part in this year’s Movember campaign, raising awareness of men’s health issues and supporting local charity work.

Throughout November, the players will join together to grow their moustaches to spark conversations and raise vital funds for a great local cause selected by the players, Oldham Cancer Support Centre.

The players who are leading the effort will be captain Tom Conlon, Kieron Morris, Luke Hannant, Reagan Ogle, Joe Garner, Ryan Woods, Will Sutton, Joe Quigley, Tom Donaghy and Kane Drummond.

Each player has pledged to grow their moustache and help raise awareness both on and off the pitch.

They will be joined by members of the backroom staff, as well as a number of office staff, as the whole club joins together to unite against issues that affect so many men.

Movember helps to raise awareness of issues include prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health.

The moustache represents a commitment to changing the face of men's health and encouraging men to live happier, healthier and longer lives.

On behalf of the players, captain Tom Conlon has chosen to support Oldham Cancer Support Centre, a local charity based at the Ena Hughes Centre in Failsworth. The Centre offers free and confidential help to anyone living with or beyond cancer, as well as to their families and carers.

OCSC provides a wide range of services, including counselling, emotional and practical support, information sessions and complementary therapies. Their mission is to help people affected by cancer build confidence, find comfort, and connect with others who understand their experiences.

Supporters can get behind the players by making a donation to the dedicated Latics Movember page in support of Oldham Cancer Support Centre by visiting gofundme.com/latics.

Together, we can raise awareness, break the stigma around men’s health and make a real difference in our community.
