Daragh Mulcahy joined Oldham Athletic after beginning his football journey with Dukinfield Youth, where he gained his first experience of competitive football at grassroots level.

After moving to Oldham, he continued his development within the academy, learning the importance of teamwork, discipline, and consistency as he progressed through the age groups.

A Manchester United supporter growing up, Mulcahy’s love for the game was sparked watching United face Tottenham in 2013, while his first football shirt was the club’s iconic 2008 home kit featuring the AIG sponsor.

Inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo’s mentality and work ethic, he prides himself on hard work, confidence, and resilience. A defender who enjoys reading the play, making tackles, and organising those around him, he memorably scored a hat-trick on his Oldham debut at Under-9s level against Walsall.
