Harvey Hampson joined Oldham Athletic after developing through Everton’s academy, having been part of the club from Under-8s through to Under-16s.
The goalkeeper began his football journey in grassroots football at the age of five before being picked up by Everton, where he built strong foundations in the game and developed his understanding of the demands of the position.
A Bolton Wanderers supporter growing up, Hampson’s earliest football memory came watching Bolton face Liverpool, while his first football shirt was the club’s 2007/08 home kit worn by Gary Speed.
Inspired by Germany international Manuel Neuer, Hampson prides himself on commanding his area, staying calm under pressure, and embracing the responsibility that comes with being a goalkeeper as he looks to continue his development at Boundary Park.
