Legend will be club's guest at Doncaster


Former Latics' footballer Bob Ledger will be attending Tuesday's npower League One match at Doncaster Rovers match as a guest of the club.

 



He began his career at Huddersfield Town and after leaving Latics played for Mansfield Town and Barrow.

Bob was known as an utility player and such was his versatility for Latics that he played full back, on both wings and centre forward for the club.

In his first season at Boundary Park, Bob played all 46 league games in the 1962/63 campaign which ended in promotion from Division Four.

Bob (75), who now lives in Owston View residential home in Doncaster, made 240 first-team appearances for Latics between 1962/67 scoring 38 goals. Bob now lives at Owston View residential home in Carcroft, which is owned and managed by Doncaster Council.
