Tarkowski's cup joy

Teenager to start at Kidderminster

James Tarkowski will start Saturday's FA Cup with Budweiser, first-round tie at Kidderminster Harriers.

Paul Dickov says the 19-year-old will replace the suspended Jean-Yves M'voto.

Latics' manager added that it is Tarkowski's place to lose saying M'voto is by no means guaranteed automatic selection once he has served his three-match ban.

He said: "We have seen recently with Alex Cisak, Robbie Simpson and Dean Furman, massive players last season, being out of the side.

"If players come in and do well, I won't change a winning team."

Dickov was impressed with Tarkowski who replaced M'voto after only 20 minutes last Saturday at Crawley Town.

He continued: "James came in on Saturday and his attitude and professionalism was a credit to him. He was immense.

"He will start on Saturday and it is up to him to keep his place."

Tarkowski kicked off the campaign in the team alongside M'voto, but lost his place following the signing of Cliff Byrne and has had to patiently wait for a recall.
