Brown, Cooper hurt in reserve-team defeat
Connor Brown and Joe Cooper ended up in the Royal Oldham Hospital after being hurt in Latics' reserve-team defeat this afternoon at home to Shrewsbury Town.Right-back Brown (pictured) received a blow to his jaw which caused concern when it began to swell.
Centre-back Cooper was also hurt in the opening half when he sustained a deep gash to his left knee which needed stitching.
To add to Latics' woes, before the match they had already lost striker Daniel Taylor through a knock picked up in training.
