Four new players in reserves
Latics are to play four trialists in this afternoon's reserve-team match against Tranmere Rovers at Chapel Road, kick off 2pm.Curtis Jones, Jack Powell, Victor Zapata-Caicedo and Lamar Hurley will be under the watchful eye of Lee Johnson in the Central League, West Division fixture.
Latics' manager said: "The players have been recommended by a real 'guru' of football and I am looking forward to seeing them play."
As the first team was in action last night, it will be a youthful reserve side with Johnson again naming himself as a substitute.
