Connor Brown is battling to be fit for Latics' Sky Bet League 1 match against Tranmere Rovers at Boundary Park on Saturday.

The right back (pictured) injured his knee during the second half of Saturday's win against Port Vale.

Manager Lee Johnson describes Brown's prospects of making the Tranmere game as 50/50.

Charlie MacDonald is responding well to treatment for the dead leg which kept him out of Saturday's game.

The striker was hurt against Walsall and, though he was on the bench at Peterborough, has struggled to shake off the knock.

Sidney Schmeltz was absent from the club today through illness.

There was good news, though, as Carl Winchester resumed full training today.

Winchester has not played this season after injury his knee playing for Northern Ireland under-21's at the end of last season.
