Haydn hero for Latics
Haydn Foulds scored both goals for Latics under-18's who won 2-1 at Burnley in the Football League Youth Alliance's North West Conference.Striker Foulds (pictured) found the net twice in the opening period, shot from inside the penalty area with both following good build ups.
Latics played some excellent football in the opening half in which they created a lot of chances on a heavy pitch.
Burnley hit back in the second period, halved the deficit and pressed for an equaliser.
Latics defended superbly with some great blocks as players put their bodies on the line to hold on to the victory.
Mick Priest, who managed the team in Tony Philliskirk's absence, described it as an excellent team performance.
